Clinica Msr. Oscar A. Romero
Clinica provides quality and affordable health care and health education to the underserved communities of greater Los Angeles. Members of the Salvadoran community and sympathizers founded Clinica in 1983. Clinica serves uninsured multi-racial populations including clients who neither speak Spanish or English but speak primarily Kanjobal, Quiche, Zapoteco, or other non-European languages from southern Mexico and Central America. Clinica has a special clinic addressing the needs of jornaleros (day laborers), demosticas (housekeepers) and others that have employers but no medical insurance.
Services include:
- Primary medical and dental care for children, adolescents and adults
- Pediatrics, prenatal, post-partum care and family planning
- Chronic disease management, including but not limited to diabetes, asthma and hypertension
- Immunizations
- Cancer screening
- Health education and prevention
- Limited specialty care such as cardiology
- Leadership training and neighborhood organizing around quality of life issues
Hours of Operation:
Monday - Thursday: 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Friday and Saturday: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon
